Dear Family,
Thank you to all Gonzalez family members who were able to attend this weekend's events! Countless connections and memories were made and we are honored to be a part of planning this memorable event.
We will soon post all materials and information distributed Saturday night (family contact information spreadsheet, historical photograph slide show, Professor Danel's presentation, and anything else we can make available electronically). Check back soon to see all updated information.
Also, if you are a member of Facebook, stay connected to the family via a group that was created by Caroline Gonzalez-Atwood (thanks Caroline!). Photos, memories, etc will be shared here as well. Click here for the Gonzalez Reunion Facebook Page.
Thanks again to all who made this weekend such a success. We look forward to the next 100 years! More to come...
With Love,
The GFR Planning Committee

Family Photo Scheduled - Dont miss it!
The mass at San Fernando Cathedral on Saturday night is always quite crowded and now we are adding another 115 people all from our family. For this reason, it is best to attend the Rosary @ 4:45 (see Saturday schedule).
After mass concludes, we assume it will take about 15 - 20 minutes for the Church to clear enough for us to take the family photo. If for some reason you can not attend the Rosary and mass please make sure to be at the Church no later than 6:15pm. The mass actually should end about 6:30PM. The portrait will only be one large family portrait not one of individual families.
Thank you,
The GFR Planning Committee

The More The Better!
The number of attendees for this weekend's celebration has increased to above 100! Therefore,
we have switched Saturday's dinner to a different room at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel.
We will now be dining in the Bluebonnet Magnolia Room and you can visit the following website to see pictures of it:
www.guntersaweddings.com
The new room has a terrace that looks onto Houston Street and we will have considerably more space to mingle (and even dance!). Tables will now seat 8 (as opposed to 10 in the original room).
We hope everyone will be much more comfortable and we are looking forward to a busy, but elegant evening. See you soon!
Warm Regards,

What are you wearing to the reunion this weekend?
Many have asked about the appropriate attire for Saturday evening...
Cocktail attire is very appropriate, but remember we start off in Church so ladies please bring a coat or sweater if your dress is strapless and shoulder bearing (or "revealing" in any other way).
Men, a suit or sports coat and tie are appropriate.
Thanks,
GFR Planning Committee

One week and counting....an update on RSVPs and Saturday schedule
Dear Family,
We are excited to report that we have confirmed over 115 adult and 17 child attendees for Saturday night! The original room we booked was not large enough to hold us so the hotel has graciously allowed us to upgrade to a larger room - we are looking forward to a wonderful celebration with everyone.
Just a reminder of the Saturday schedule: We start with a 4:45 pm Rosary at San Fernando (in honor of Mama Veva). Mass starts at 5:30. It will be packed. If you get there close to 5:30, plan on sitting with strangers or standing. We are taking a family photo immediately after Mass. Then to the Gunter Hotel for dinner. Several of us are staying at the hotel (Gonzalez Family rate may still be available).
Have a nice weekend!
